Biography

I completed my tertiary education in a region different from where I was raised, earning a degree that provided a strong foundation for my technical career. I really enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and always make it a point to learn new technologies to stay ahead. For me, it's not just about coding—I'm deeply committed to personal growth and love being part of meaningful projects that can make a real difference.

I’m an experienced Full-stack developer with a focus on Backend engineering, optimizing system performance. At Distinct AI, I played a key role in developing APIs using FastAPI, improving efficiency and user engagement through rigorous code reviews. I also contributed to Amal Outreach, building backend features for a medical app with Django Rest Framework.

Earlier in my career, I completed a competitive internship at HNG, working on Python projects while collaborating with designers and other experts. As IT Team Lead at Upfolio, I developed a Django-based website and managed HR processes.I recently completed an Hackathon, organized by PipeOps wih my team finishing as a runner up. These experiences have helped me build a strong foundation in backend development, cloud technologies, and scalable systems. I’m passionate about innovation and aspire to contribute to meaningful projects that improve lives through technology.

    Successfully completed various development tasks throughout the internship, contributing to the progression from the initial stage to the final deployment. Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, illustrators, and product managers to develop Voxclips, an application that generates animated talking head videos for podcast audio. Played a key role in implementing dynamic, user-selected backgrounds, enhancing the overall customization and visual appeal of the generated videos.

    As the Team Lead of the IT department, I played a pivotal role in driving the company's digital presence. I led the recruitment and onboarding process, efficiently coordinated tasks within the IT team, and took charge of the website’s operations. This included uploading key opportunities, developing dynamic forms for programs and projects, and ensuring the site’s smooth and engaging functionality.

  • Programming Intern @ African Language Technology Initiative

    2022-Present | Oyo, Ibadan

    Created machine learning models in Python, using Numpy and Matplotlib to differentiate between leaves of different trees with 90% accuracy. Built a terminal version of the African “AYO” board game with Python, and rebuilt the game, years later, to a more optimized edition with Java.
